Crock Pot Parmesan Honey Pork Loin Roast: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

I love using my crock pot on the weekends. It means less time in the kitchen and more time with the family. Since our weeks are filled with so many activities it is nice to be able to relax a bit more on the weekends and not have to spend a lot of time in the kitchen preparing dinner.


This pork loin takes just minutes to prepare and then cooks on low for about 5 hours and then takes just a few more minutes to make a delicious sauce. The result is a tender pork accented by a delicious sauce over top.

Crock Pot Parmesan Honey Pork Roast

Ingredients:
  • 3-4 pounds boneless pork loin roast
  • 2/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar, optional
Directions:
  1. Place the pork loin roast into the crock pot.
  2. In a small bowl combine the shredded cheese, honey, soy sauce, basil, oregano, garlic, and olive oil. Pour this mixture over top of the meat in the crock pot. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until a thermometer reads 160º F.
  3. Remove the meat and place on a serving platter.
  4. Strain the juices in the crock pot and put in a small saucepan.
  5. Mix the cornstarch and chicken broth together. Add this to the strained juices in the saucepan. Stir and cook the sauce over medium heat until thickened. Add in 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar if you want the sauce a little bit sweeter.
  6. Slice the meat and serve with the sauce
