One Pot Turkey Spaghetti

One Pot Turkey Spaghetti

Spaghetti is not a meal that I would consider time consuming or hard. Two pots and little bit of time and the meal is ready. But when I came across a one pot spaghetti recipe I was intrigued to try it. The result was an easy, simple and yummy spaghetti. Plus no jar pasta sauce need and I do not have to plan ahead for my Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

One Pot Turkey Spaghetti

One Pot Turkey Spaghetti
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 pound ground turkey
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 small yellow onion, diced
3 large garlic cloves, mined
black pepper, to taste
14 ounce low sodium chicken broth
1 1/2 cups water
6 ounces no salt added tomato paste
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 bay leaf
8 ounces spaghetti noodles, broken in half
grated Parmesan cheese

In a medium pot, cook the ground turkey, onion, red pepper flakes and black pepper until the turkey is almost done and onions are tender.

Add in the broth, water, tomato paste, Italian seasoning and bay leaf. Bring to a boil and stir in broken spaghetti. Return to a boil, stirring often, then reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 17-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until the spaghetti noodles are cooked. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
