Spicy Chicken Tortilla Wrap: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

This wrap is spicy and packet with flavor. What makes it even better is you can prepare the filling in advanced and refrigerate until ready and then spread on the tortillas.

Spicy Chicken Tortilla Wrap


  • 1 1/2 pounds skinless boneless chicken breasts
  • 10 ounce can diced tomatoes with chilies, drained
  • 12 ounces reduced fat cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 4 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoon dried cilantro
  • 6 green onions, chopped
  • 8 large tortillas


  1. Season the chicken with cumin and 1 teaspoon chili powder.
  2. Add chicken to a preheated skillet and cook on both sides until completely cooked. Remove the chicken from the skillet and cool slightly and shred with two forks. Let cool completely.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, drained tomatoes, shredded cheese, remaining chili powder, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, dried cilantro and green onions. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
  4. Add cooled chicken and mix together.
  5. Lay out tortillas and place an equal amount of filling on each tortilla.
  6. Spread the filling out over the tortillas leaving the edges plain.
  7. Roll up each tortilla tightly and cut in half.
