Homemade Seasoned Pita Chips

Homemade Seasoned Pita Chips: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

These pita chips are so good and addicting. My husband could not stop eating them and I thought I was going to have to hide them. I myself could of easily eaten the entire batch right along with him.

Homemade Seasoned Pita Chips

Ingredients:

  • 5- 6 inch pita breads
  • 10 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350º F.
  2. Cut each pita in half and then cut each half into 4 pieces, creating a total of 8 wedges.
  3. Separate each wedge creating 16 wedges all together. Repeat with remaining pitas.
  4. Place all the pita wedges in a large bowl.
  5. Place the butter in a glass measuring cup and melt in the microwave.
  6. Pour butter over the pita wedges and toss gently to evenly coat.
  7. Sprinkle pita wedges with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning and toss gently until evenly coated.
  8. Place pita chips onto two large jelly roll sheets in a single layer.
  9. Bake for 6-8 minutes or until bottom side is nicely browned.
  10. Turn pita wedges over and bake for an additional 3-6 minutes or until bottom side is nicely browned.
  11. Store at room temperature.
