Two Sauce Lasagna

Two Sauce Lasagna: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

I never would of thought making a lasagna with spaghetti sauce and Alfredo sauce would be so tasty, but it is. It is such a good combination and to make it even better it uses no boil noodles.

Update:
I now use my own homemade Alfredo sauce when making this lasagna. I usually use a bit more than 15 ounces on top. I make sure to cover the noodles well with sauce. In the picture above, I only had 15 ounces and as you can see the noodles were not completely covered and that caused it to take longer to cook the noodles on top.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box no boil lasagna noodles
  • 15 ounces low fat ricotta cheese
  • 10 ounce package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 pound ground turkey, cooked and drained
  • 24 ounces tomato and basil pasta sauce
  • 15 ounces Alfredo sauce

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ricotta, spinach, mozzarella, 2 tablespoons Parmesan and eggs, mix well.
  3. In a 9x13 baking dish spread 3/4 cup red pasta sauce. Layer 4 lasagna noodles over sauce. Top with half of the cheese mixture, 1 cup red sauce and half of the cooked turkey. Repeat layers starting with lasagna noodles. Top with 4 remaining lasagna noodles. Spread Alfredo sauce evenly on top; sprinkle with remaining Parmesan.
  4. Cover and bake for 40 minutes or until the noodles are cooked.
Enjoy!!!

Notes:
The original recipe calls for 12 lasagna noodles. I did not want a few noodles left in the box, so I used them and broke them up to fill in spaces the whole lasagna noodles did not cover in my pan.
