Orange Cinnamon French Toast

Orange Cinnamon French Toast: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

This french toast is nice and easy and I love that it does not have to be refrigerated over night. The honey, butter and cinnamon mixture that starts out on the bottom but then becomes the top is delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 6 slices French bread

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400º F. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, combine butter, honey and cinnamon. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread to coat bottom of pan.
  3. In a shallow bowl, beat the eggs, and orange juice.
  4. Dip the bread into the egg mixture and place in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Invert the French toast slices onto a serving plate.
  7. Serve with additional honey if desired.
Enjoy!!!

Notes:
This latest time I made this french toast, the bread pieces were not as big, so I was able to fit more than 6 pieces of bread into the baking dish. Plus I had plenty of egg mixture left, so I used as many slices of bread as I could fit into the baking dish.
