Jalapeño Popper Dip: Savory Sweet and Satisfyin

Oh my word! This dip is amazing! It tastes jut like a jalapeño popper and I should know because they are one of my favorite snack foods.

Jalapeño Popper Dip: Savory Sweet and Satisfyin

The dip is not too spicy. My girls at it up like crazy, but then again they can handle some spicy foods.

Jalapeño Popper Dip

Ingredients:

  • 3 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 jalapeños, seeded and diced
  • 8 ounces reduced fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • 4 ounce can diced green chilies
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 3/4 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375º F.
  2. In a small skillet, over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Remove bacon and add in diced jalapeños and cook until soft.
  3. In a medium bowl combine the cream cheese, yogurt, 1 cup Mexican cheese, green chilies, garlic powder and hot sauce. Stir well to combine.
  4. Add in the bacon and jalapeños, stirring to combine.
  5. Spoon into a 8x8 baking dish.
  6. In a small bowl combine the bread crumbs and both cheese.
  7. Pour melted butter over top and mix well.
  8. Spread evenly over the top of the dip.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes or until slightly brown and bubbly.
Enjoy:

Notes:
You may substitute sour cream, miracle whip or mayonnaise in place of Greek yogurt.
