Jalapeño Bacon Nachos

Jalapeño Bacon Nachos: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

These nachos are the perfect snack anytime of the day. Crunchy tortilla chips topped with cheddar cheese and a creamy cheese sauce filled with bacon and jalapeños. Absolutely delicious!

Jalapeño Bacon Nachos

Ingredients:

  • tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • black pepper, to taste
  • 8 ounces reduced fat cream cheese
  • 3 jalapeños, seeded and diced
  • 1 cup crumbled cooked turkey bacon

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375º F.
  2. Spread desired amount of tortilla chips onto baking sheet. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  3. While the chips and cheese are baking, melt the butter over medium heat in a small saucepan.
  4. Whisk in the flour and black pepper.
  5. Slowly add in milk while stirring. Continue to stir until thick and bubbly. Continue to stir and cook for 1 more minute.
  6. Remove saucepan from heat and add in cream cheese, stirring until completely melted and mixed.
  7. Stir in jalapeños and bacon.
  8. Pour sauce over chips and cheese when they are done baking.
