Savory Sweet and Satisfying: Sausage, Egg and Cheese Bake

Since my family enjoys things spicy I used hot sausage, but if you are not like us go ahead and use mild sausage.

Sausage, Egg and Cheese Bake

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups frozen cubed hash browns, thawed
  • 1 cup swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup hot sausage, cooked and well drained
  • 1 cup pepper jack cheese, shredded
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup half and half
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 400º F. Spray a 1 1/2 quart deep casserole dish with cooking spray.
  2. Place the hash browns in prepared baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes.
  3. Remove from oven and reduce oven temperature to 350º F.
  4. Sprinkle swiss cheese over hash brown, then the sausage and then the pepper jack cheese.
  5. In a medium bowl combine the eggs and half and half. Pour this mixture over the hash brown, cheese and sausage.
  6. Bake uncovered for about 45 minutes or until center is set and an inserted knife comes out fairly dry.
  7. Let stand for 10 minutes.
Enjoy!!!
