Dijon Maple Chicken

Savory Sweet and Satisfying: Dijon Maple Chicken

This chicken has another name, Holy Yum Chicken. That name fits it well, it is very good chicken. However if you are not fan of dijon mustard, then this recipe is not for you. But if you like dijon mustard then you will like this recipe. The tangy mustard combined with the sweet maple syrup is such a good combination.

Dijon Maple Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • rice or noodles

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8 baking pan with 2 layers of foil.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the dijon mustard, maple syrup, rice wine vinegar and pepper.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in the foil lined pan and pour the mustard mixture over the chicken. Turn the chicken around in the sauce to coat it well.
  4. Bake, uncovered, for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is completely cooked.
  5. Remove the chicken from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  6. Transfer the chicken to another plate and carefully pour the remaining sauce into a heat safe bowl.
  7. Whisk 1 tablespoon cornstarch into sauce to make it thicker.
  8. Serve sauce over chicken.
