Copycat Red Robin Banzai Burger

Copycat Red Robin Banzai Burger

I have eaten at Red Robin only a few times over the years. I will say they do have great burgers and I enjoy them. However, I can not tell you if this burger is exactly like the one Red Robin makes, but I can tell you it is good.

I use ground turkey in all of my burgers, because it is healthier. You of course can use any meat you prefer.

Copycat Red Robin Banzai Burger

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 pineapple rings
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • lite mayonnaise
  • 4 slices tomato
  • romaine lettuce

Directions:

  1. Make 4 patties out of the ground turkey and pace in a shallow dish.
  2. Place the pineapple rings in another shallow dish.
  3. Pour 3/4 cups teriyaki sauce over the patties and 1/4 teriyaki sauce over the pineapple rings.
  4. Marinade the patties and pineapple rings for at least 30 minutes turning once.
  5. Remove the patties from the marinade and cook your desired way until done, basting with any leftover marinade from the burgers or pineapple rings.
  6. During the last few minutes of cooking time melt the cheese on the burgers.
  7. Spread some mayonnaise on the buns and put the tomato on the bottom half of the bun. Followed by the patty, pineapple ring, lettuce and then top half of bun.
Enjoy!!!
