This teriyaki sauce was so delicious and flavorful. It was by far the best teriyaki sauce I have ever had. Even better it is very easy to make and does not require any special ingredients.
Homemade Teriyaki Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon cold water
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger and black pepper.
- Bring to a boil over medium high heat, stirring occasionally.
- While waiting for sauce to boil combine cornstarch and cold water, mixing until cornstarch and water are completely mixed.
- When sauce comes to a full boil, add cornstarch and water mixture and stir until the sauce thickens and is bubbly.
- Remove from the heat.
- Can be stored in an air tight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
