Tex-Mex Burger with Cajun Mayo

Give your burgers a nice spicy kick by making this recipe. Not only does the burger have cajun seasoning in it, but a diced jalapeño as well. Then it is topped with pepper jack cheese and a spicy mayo. These burgers are pack with spicy flavor!

Tex-Mex Burger with Cajun Mayo

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup light mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon cajun seasoning
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and chopped
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 slices pepper jack cheese
  • lettuce
  • tomato, sliced
  • 4 hamburger buns

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl combine the mayonnaise and 1 teaspoon cajun seasoning. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl combine the ground turkey, jalapeño, onion, garlic, 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning and Worcestershire sauce. Do not over mix.
  3. Divide the turkey into four patties and cook your preferred way until done.
  4. During the last 2 minutes of cook time add a slice of pepper jack cheese to each patty.
  5. Spread the cajun mayo on the hamburger buns, top with some lettuce, a slice of tomato and then the patties.
