For years I have had problems finding some good turkey burger recipes. Lately, however, I have have found several really good turkey burger recipes. Now the problem is when I am in the mood for a burger which one do I make?
Spicy Hawaiian Burgers
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder, divided
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 4 pineapple rings
- 4 slices pepper jack cheese
- Lightly mix ground turkey, soy sauce, 1/4 teaspoon paprika, 1/4 teaspoon chili powder, cumin, and garlic with your hands.
- Divide the turkey mixture into 4 even pieces and shape into 4 patties.
- Sprinkle the patties with the remaining paprika and chili powder.
- Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
- Cook the burgers your desired way until completely cooked.
- During the last 1-2 minutes of cooking time top the burgers with a slice of cheese so it can melt.
- Also cook the pineapple on both sides for 1-2 minutes.
- Put the burger patties on the bottom bun, top with pineapple and then the top half of bun.
