Cherry Almond Overnight Oats

Cherry Almond Overnight Oats: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

Normally I do not make overnight oats until summer time, but I was having a craving for them. I love cherries, they are one of my favorite fruits, so adding some dried ones to my overnight oats was a no brainer. They taste amazing straight out of the bag and in some delicious overnight oats.

Cherry Almond Overnight Oats

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup non fat Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey(optional)
  • 1/4 cup dried tart cherries
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted

Directions:

  1. In a mason jar or other sealable container, add in the oats, milk, Greek yogurt, both extracts and honey if using, stir to mix.
  2. Add in the cherries and gently stir to mix.
  3. Seal up the container and refrigerate overnight.
  4. In the morning add in the almonds and stir to mix. 
Enjoy!!!

Notes:
The honey adds a little bit of extra sweetness to the overnight oats. I have made it with and without the honey and both ways are delicious. The nutritional info below does not include honey.
