Normally I wait until it is warmer outside before I start making overnight oats, but I had some leftover sliced almonds from another recipe and decided to make these oats to use up the almonds.
These oats are simple, with just honey and almonds for flavor, but oh so delicious. The honey add the prefect amount of sweetness and the almonds add a nice crunch.
Honey Almond Overnight Oats
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup old fashioned rolled oats
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
- 2 drops vanilla extract
Directions:
- In a mason jar or other sealable container, add in the oats, honey, milk, almonds and vanilla. Stir to combine.
- Cover the jar and refrigerate overnight.
- In the morning stir the oats and add a splash of milk if desired.
Enjoy!!!
Notes:
If desired reserve 1 tablespoon of the almonds and add to the oats in the morning.
