White Barbecue Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich


White BBQ Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

I have never heard of white barbecue sauce and I had no clue any other barbecue existed, besides the tomato based one. But I can tell you that this sauce is very good and when paired with shredded chicken and in a sandwich with melted cheese and pickled jalapeños and even more delicious white barbecue sauce you have a very delicious sandwich.

White BBQ Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients:

White Barbecue Sauce

  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon horseradish mustard
  • 1 tablespoon horseradish
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons coarsely ground black pepper
  • cayenne pepper, to taste

Sandwich

  • 8 slices bread
  • 8 slices munester cheese
  • 1 1/3 cups shredded chicken, warm
  • 1 tablespoon pickled jalapeños

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together all of the white barbecue sauce ingredients and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl stir together the shredded chicken and 1/4 cup white barbecue sauce.
  3. Spread desired amount of white barbecue sauce onto all 8 slices of bread.
  4. Top 4 slices of bread with 1 piece of cheese.
  5. Evenly divide the chicken between the 4 sandwiches and spread out on top of the cheese.
  6. Top the chicken on each sandwich with desired amount of pickled jalapeños and place remaining slices of cheese on top followed by the other slices of bread.
  7. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  8. Place the sandwiches in the preheat skillet and cook until golden brown, about 2-4 minutes. Flip the sandwiches over and cook on the other side until golden brown, about 2-4 minutes.
