Holiday Oatmeal
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
- 2 3/4 cups milk
- 1 apple, diced small, about 1 cup
- 1/3 cup dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 medium banana, sliced
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- In a medium pot, over medium heat, stir together the oats, milk, diced apples, cranberries and pecans.
- Cook stirring often until the oatmeal has thickened, about 10-12 minutes.
- Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the bananas.
- Divide the oatmeal between 3 bowls and top each bowl with 1 tablespoon brown sugar.
