Kahlua Coffee Ice Cream

Kahlua Coffee Ice Cream: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

Oh my goodness, Kahlua and coffee in an ice cream is so amazingly delicious. One taste of this ice cream and I knew I had a recipe that I needed to keep.

Kahlua and coffee pair so well together and in a creamy ice cream and it becomes the most delicious adult dessert. I can see myself whipping up this ice cream anytime I have half and half and heavy cream to use up.

Kahlua Coffee Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup half and half
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons espresso powder
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup Kahlua

Directions:

  1. Place freezer safe container for storing the ice cream in the freezer.
  2. In a medium bowl whisk together the half and half, sugar and espresso powder until the sugar and espresso powder dissolves.
  3. Stir in the heavy cream and Kahlua.
  4. Pour the mixture into your ice cream machine and churn according to manufacturer's directions.
  5. Take the storage container out of the freezer and transfer ice cream into it. Cover and freeze.
Enjoy!!!

Notes:
This ice cream is softer and melts a little bit quicker than most because of the added alcohol.

  2. I use 2 packets of Starbucks Via coffee crystals, 1/4 cup of Kahului and reduce the heavy cream to 1 3/4 cup but still use 1 cup of half and half…better consistency and very enjoyable!
