Chocolate Mousse Pie

Chocolate Mousse Pie: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

I don't know where this recipe came from. My mom had a recipe card that was probably cut out of a magazine, but it had nothing on it that let me know where it came from so I can give proper credit. But this pie was too good and too easy not to share.

Rich, creamy and chocolatey mousse in a pie is a delicious way to enjoy pie and mousse at the same time.

Chocolate Mousse Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1-7 ounce chocolate bar
  • 16 large marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 9-inch graham cracker crust
  • sweetened whipped cream, optional

Directions:

  1. In a medium pot, add in the candy bar, marshmallows and milk.
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the chocolate and marshmallows are melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool.
  4. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold the whipped cream into the cooled chocolate mixture and pour into the crust.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  7. If desired, pipe additional sweetened whipped cream around the edge of the pie before serving.
Enjoy!!!

Notes:
You can substitute 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows for the 16 large marshmallows.
