Strawberry Banana Oatmeal Smoothie: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

Whenever I add oatmeal to a smoothie, I just add it in with all of the other ingredients and blend. With this smoothie, the oatmeal gets blended into a fine powder before all of the other ingredients get added in. This one simple change with the oatmeal, made the smoothie creamy and thick. Plus I did not taste the oatmeal as much. From now on whenever I add oatmeal to a smoothie, this is how I am going to do it.

Strawberry Banana Oatmeal Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 frozen banana, cut into chunks
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries

Directions:

  1. Add the oatmeal to a blender and blender until it becomes a fine powder.
  2. Add in the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
