Jalapeño Popper Crisps

Jalapeño Popper Crisps: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

I have always been one of those people who enjoys the crispy cheese parts of a recipe. If there is crispy cheese left in a pan or on a baking sheet I will not let them go to waste. I will scrap them up and enjoy them. So this recipe takes those delicious crispy cheese bits and turns them into a delicious snack.

Jalapeño Popper Crisps

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • fresh ground black pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375º F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat.
  2. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of Parmesan cheese into a small mound on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Top each mound with about 1/2 tablespoon cheddar cheese.
  4. Carefully pat down each cheese mound into a flat circle.
  5. Place one jalapeño slice in the middle of each cheese circle and sprinkle with bacon.
  6. Season each cheese circle with ground black pepper.
  7. Bake until crispy and golden, about 12 minutes.
  8. Allow the cheese crisps to cool slightly, then transfer to a serving dish. Serve at room temperature.
Enjoy!!!
