I can not tell you the last time I bought a can of Italian diced tomatoes. Ever since my husband was diagnosed with hyper-tension, I buy no salt added canned tomato products. However, Italian diced tomatoes do not come in a no salt added variety. So I started making my own and it is so easy. All you need is a can of diced tomatoes and Italian seasoning.
Italian Diced Tomatoes
Ingredients:
- 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
Directions:
- In a medium bowl combine the diced tomatoes and Italian seasoning.
- Refrigerate for a few hours to let the flavors blend.
Enjoy!!!
Notes:
If needed you can use these tomatoes right away.
