Honey Buffalo Meatballs

Honey Buffalo Meatballs: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

I love trying new meatball recipes. Especially when they are easy to prepare. These meatballs are baked in the oven and then added to a crock pot and coated with a sweet and spicy sauce.

Honey Buffalo Meatballs

Ingredients:

Meatballs

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 22 saltine crackers, crushed
  • 1/3 cup dry minced onion
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Honey Buffalo Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Frrank's Red Hot Original Sauce
  • 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 cup apricot preserves
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 450º F. Line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. In a large bowl, gently whisk the eggs. Add in the remaining meatball ingredients and mix until well combined.
  3. Roll the meat mixture into the desired meatball size and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 8 minutes or until lightly browned.
  5. Meanwhile, in a large bowl whisk together all of the sauce ingredients.
  6. Once the meatballs are done baking place them in the crock pot and pour the sauce over top.
  7. Gently stir the meat balls to completely coat in the sauce.
  8. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring after they have cooked for 1 hour.
