When you replace the sugar with maple syrup in an ice cream recipe you get maple ice cream. The maple flavor really shines in this ice cream.
Maple Ice Cream
Ingredients:
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 1/2 cups half and half
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
Directions:
- Place a container for storing the ice cream in the freezer.
- In a medium bowl whisk together the maple syrup and half and half until well mixed.
- Add in the heavy cream and stir to combine.
- Pour the mixture into the ice cream machine and churn according to the manufactures directions.
- Remove the container from the freezer and transfer the ice cream into it.
- Cover the container and place in the freezer.
