Banana Oat Bites

Banana Oat Bites: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

Oatmeal bites are a great snack and so easy to make. Making them at home allows you to know exactly what is in them. Also there is a lot of different varieties you can make.

This variety is a great way to use up those leftover bananas and the chocolate chips add a touch of sweetness.

Banana Oat Bites

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 honey
  • 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl mash the bananas.
  2. Add in the oats, peanut butter, honey, chocolate chips and cinnamon. Mix until well combined.
  3. Lightly wet hands with cold water, so the mixture does not stick to your hands.
  4. Scoop 2 tablespoons of mixture and roll into a ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture, rewetting hands as needed.
  5. Refrigerate the oats for at least 2 hours before eating.
  6. Store remaining bites in the refrigerator.
Enjoy!!!

Notes:
If the mixture does not come together in a ball, refrigerate for about 30 minutes and then try again.
