I am always in the mood for a burger, especially if it is a spicy burger. These burgers hit the spot for a spicy burger. They are stuffed with a mixture of fresh diced jalapeños, cream cheese and cheddar cheese for a creamy, cheesy and spicy filling.
Jalapeño Cheddar Burgers
Ingredients:
- 28 ounces ground turkey
- black pepper, to taste
- 4 tablespoons cream cheese, cold
- 2 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 fresh jalapeño pepper, diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 hamburger buns
- lettuce
- tomato slices
Directions:
- In a small bowl combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder and diced jalapeño.
- In a large bowl combine the ground turkey and black pepper with your hands, just until mixed. Divide the mixture into 8 even pieces. Take one piece and flatten it into a burger patty. Take 1/4 of the cheese and jalapeño mixture and flatten it into circle that is slightly smaller than the burger patty and pace on the patty. Take another piece of mixture and flatten it into a burger patty the same size and place on top of the cheese and jalapeño circle. Seal the edges of the two burger patties together very well. Repeat this process until you have made all four patties. Brush each burger with a little bit of olive oil.
- Cook the burgers your preferred way until completely cooked. Place the burgers on the buns and top with some lettuce and a tomato slice.
