A crescent dough sheet is covered with cream cheese, pickled jalapeños, bacon and cheddar cheese. Then it is rolled up, sliced and topped with more cheese. Then baked until dough is warm and soft and the cheese is melted. They are so delicious and spicy it is hard to just eat one.
Bacon, Cheddar and Jalapeño Pinwheels
Ingredients:
- 1 can crescent dough sheet
- 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 5 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1-2 tablespoons diced pickled jalapeños
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350º F. Line a baking sheet with foil, lightly sprayed with cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl combine the cream cheese, bacon and jalapeños.
- Unroll the crescent dough sheet and spread the cream cheese mixture on top. Sprinkle with the cheddar cheese, reserving about 2 tablespoons. Roll up the dough sheet lengthwise and slice into 3/4 inch slices. Place the slices on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Top with reserved cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the bread begins to brown. Cool slightly before serving.
