In my search to find a pimento cheese recipe, I came across a jalapeño version. With my love of all things spicy I knew I needed to try this. All the goodness of pimento cheese with a spicy kick.
Jalapeño Pimento Cheese
Ingredients:
- 16 ounces extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely minced
- 4 ounces diced pimentos, drained
Directions:
- In a large bowl beat together the cheddar cheese, cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder and onion powder, until well mixed. Stir in the jalapeño and pimentos.
