I have really been enjoying making hot chocolate. I do have a bunch of powdered packets of hot chocolate in my pantry. They also happen to be my favorite brand and are delicious and I should use some of them up, but it has been fun making hot chocolate from scratch and playing around with different flavors.
Caramel Hot Chocolate
Ingredients:
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
- whipped cream
Cooking Directions:
- In a medium saucepan, over medium low heat, heat the milk until hot, but not boiling.
- Whisk in the cocoa powder, sugar and caramel. Continue to whisk until the mixture is smooth.
- Pour the mixture into two mugs and top with whipped cream if desired.
