I already have several cheesy breadsticks on my blog and was not looking to add more. However when I made a breadstick recipe that really did not turn out like it was suppose to, that changed.
The recipe I tried tasted good, but the process of making it just did not go well. However the seasoning on the breadsticks was amazing, even my husband commented on how much he liked the seasoning. So I decided to make some cheesy breadsticks and add the seasoning to the top. The result was cheesy breadsticks with a delicious and flavorful seasoning.
Cheesy Breadsticks
Ingredients:
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
- 6 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 425º F. Brush a baking sheet with sides (roughly 9x13 inches) with olive oil.
- Roll the dough out, on a lightly floured surface, to the approximate size of the baking sheet. Place the dough on the prepared baking sheet and stretch it to fit the baking sheet.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on the dough.
- In a small bowl combine the garlic powder, dried parsley, red pepper flakes and parmesan cheese. Sprinkle this mixture over the cheese.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and staring to brown and dough is golden brown.
