I do not know about you but Samoa's have always been my favorite Girl Scout Cookie. I do not eat them very often and can not tell you the last time I actually ate one, but they are my favorite. So when I found a recipe that used the flavors from the Samoa cookie in a latte, I knew I needed to try it.
Samoa Latte
Ingredients:
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3/4 teaspoon coconut extract
- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
- 1 tablespoon caramel sauce
Optional Toppings
- whipped cream
- caramel sauce
- chocolate syrup
Directions:
- Combine all of the ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium low heat, stirring constantly.
- After the mixture comes to a simmer remove from the heat and either use an immersion blender or transfer to a blender and blend until frothy.
- Top with whipped cream, chocolate syrup and caramel sauce if desired.
Notes:
You can substitute coconut milk for the milk and coconut extract. So you would use 3/4 cup coconut milk and no extract.
