The flavor possibilities of oatmeal are almost endless and I think that is way I am enjoying it more and more. I do not think I have made the same oatmeal twice, there are just too many new flavors to try.
Baked Apple Oatmeal
Ingredients:
- 2 2/3 cups old fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 4 cups milk
- 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, diced
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 medium apples, chopped
Directions:
- Preheat oven to350º F.
- In a 2 quart casserole dish stir together the oats, cranberries, milk, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon and chopped apples.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed and oats are tender.
- Serve with additional milk if desired.
