Cheese and Bacon Pasta
Ingredients:
- 12 ounces penne pasta
- 8 ounces turkey bacon
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard
- black pepper
Directions:
- Cook pasta according to directions and drain.
- While pasta is cooking cook turkey bacon. Drain on a paper towel and crumble.
- When pasta is about halfway done cooking heat cream in a medium saucepan. When hot (but not boiling) reduce heat to low and slowly add cheese and stir until it is melted and smooth.
- Add dijon mustard and pepper.
- Add pasta to cheese sauce, stirring to combine.
- Top with bacon and stir.
