Double Crunch Honey Garlic Pork Chops

Double Crunch Honey Garlic Pork Chops

These pork chops came together fairly easily. Once you get the first batch of pork chops started cooking, I would start working on the sauce so the sauce and pork chops will be done close to each other.

The pork chops turned out very delicious. They had a nice flavorful, crispy crust, and were nice and tender on the inside. This was all accented by a super delicious sauce. Make sure you serve this pork chop over rice or quinoa or even noodles so you have something to help soak up all the wonderful sauce!

  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 1 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

For Serving (not included in nutritional info)

Directions:

Pork Chops

  1. Trim any fat off the pork chops.
  2. In a shallow bowl whisk together the flour and spices.
  3. Coat each side of pork chops in flour mixture pressing down to make sure flour mixture sticks. Gently shake to remove any excess flour mixture. Repeat with remaining pork chops.
  4. Coat each pork chop in egg, making sure to let and extra egg drip off.
  5. Place pork chop back into flour mixture again coating both sides, pressing down to make sure flour mixture sticks. Repeat with remaining pork chops.
  6. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  7. When oil is hot add two pork chops cooking 4-5 minutes per side, or until pork chops are completely cooked. Repeat with remaining pork chops adding more oil as needed. As the pork chops are cooking adjust the heat as necessary so the pork chops do not get to brown on the outside before the insides are cooked.
  8. Drain cooked pork chops on a cooling rack for a few minutes, before dipping into honey garlic sauce.

Honey Garlic Suce

  1. Add the olive oil and garlic to a medium saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat until the garlic is softened.
  3. Add the honey, soy sauce and black pepper.
  4. Simmer for 5-10 minutes, remove from heat and cool for a few minutes before using.
Enjoy!!!
