This dish is surprisingly very good. When I first looked at the ingredient list, I liked all of individual ingredients, but wondered how they would taste all combined into one dish.
Quick Pasta Puttanesca
Ingredients:
- 16 ounces spaghetti noodles
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic (about one clove)
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 15 ounces chuck tuna packed in water, drained
- 28 ounces no salt added diced tomatoes
- 8 ounces no salt added tomato sauce
- 6 ounces black olives, drained
Directions:
- Cook pasta according to directions; drain and return to pan.
- Add 1 teaspoon olive oil to the pasta and toss to coat. Cover and keep warm.
- Heat 3 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add in the red pepper flakes and cook, stirring until sizzling.
- Add in the onion and garlic, stir and cook for 1 minute.
- Add in the tuna fish, cook and stir for 2-3 minutes.
- Add in the tomatoes, tomato sauce, and olives. Cook, stirring frequently, until sauce is heated through.
- Add the sauce to pasta mixing well.
- Serve immediately.
