Dill Pickle and Ham Grilled Cheese

This sandwich is definitely one I will be making anytime I have leftover ham. The pickles is what makes this sandwich so much better than a ham and grilled cheese sandwich. Having that crunch of the dill pickle is such a nice addition. My family enjoyed it so much, instead of having the pickle on the side it was in the sandwich.

Dill Pickle and Ham Grilled Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 8 slices sourdough bread
  • reduced fat cream cheese
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • sliced ham
  • dill pickle sandwich slices

Directions:

  1. Spread some cream cheese on all the slices of bread.
  2. Place a slice of provolone on 4 slices of bread.
  3. Top the cheese with some ham slices, dill pickle slices and then another slices of provolone cheese.
  4. Place the remaining slices of bread on top.
  5. Heat a griddle or large skillet over medium low heat.
  6. Place the sandwiches down and cook for 4-5 minutes or until the cheese starts to melt and the bread is golden brown.
  7. Carefully flip the sandwiches over and cook on the other side for about 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
Enjoy!!!
