A quick and easy snack that is also delicious. If you need a bigger batch you can always double the recipe and use a 9x13 baking dish. Also you can change out the multigrain cheerios, for peanut butter or honey nut.
Peanut Butter and Honey Cereal Bars
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3 cups multigrain Cheerios
Directions:
- Lightly spray a 9x9 or 8x8 square baking dish or line with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, over medium heat, add in the peanut butter and honey.
- Stirring constantly, heat the mixture until it just comes to a simmer, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir until well combined.
- Add in the cereal and stir until well coated.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and press down firmly, using a piece of parchment paper.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour and then cut into bars.
- Store leftovers in an air tight container in the refrigerator.
