Hillbilly Breakfast Bake: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

A delicious breakfast using only four ingredients. A recipe does not have to have a lot of ingredients to be delicious. Some of the most basic recipes, like this one, become one of my family's favorite meals.

Hillbilly Breakfast Bake

Ingredients:

  • 1- 32 ounce bag frozen tater tots
  • 16 ounces roll sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 12 eggs
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400º F.
  2. Lightly spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray and spread the tater tots evenly on the bottom of it.
  3. Evenly place the cooked sausage on top of the tater tots.
  4. Sprinkle 4 ounces of the cheese on top of the meat.
  5. In a large bowl whisk the eggs together and then pour them evenly over the dish.
  6. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and season with black pepper.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until eggs are cooked.
