Hawaiian Grilled Cheese

Hawaiian Grilled Cheese: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

I loved grilled cheese sandwiches as a child and I still love them today. Sometimes nothing taste better than a classic grilled cheese. However I have come to love all of the different variations there are to grilled cheese and this one will definitely be made again and again.

This grilled cheese takes the best part of a Hawaiian pizza and turns it in a sandwich. Melty mozzarella cheese, ham and pineapple. If you love Hawaiian pizza then you are sure to love this sandwich.

Hawaiian Grilled Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices bread

Directions:

  1. On one piece of bread place desired amount of sliced mozzarella.
  2. Top cheese with desired amount of sliced ham.
  3. Top ham slices with pineapple rings and place other slice of bread on top.
  4. Cook sandwich on a griddle or in a skillet over low heat. Cook on one side until bread is toasted.
  5. Flip the sandwich and cook on the other side until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted.

Notes:
The nutritional information will vary due to amount of cheese and ham you use. I went lighter on the ham and cheese to try and keep the sodium levels down as much as I could.
