Hash Brown Quiche

Hash Brown Quiche: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

This quiche has a unique hash brown crust instead of a traditional pie crust. A delicious twist to a quiche.

You can switch things up and leave out the peppers if someone doesn't like them like my girls don't or substitute them with diced tomatoes.

Hash Brown Quiche: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

Hash Brown Quiche

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups frozen shredded hash brown potatoes
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup cooked diced ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced green pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 425º F.
  2. Press hash brown between paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. Press into the bottom and up the sides of an un-greased 9 inch pie plate. Drizzle with butter.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes.
  5. In a medium bowl combine ham, cheese and green pepper.
  6. Spoon mixture over baked hash browns.
  7. In a small bowl whisk eggs, milk and black pepper.
  8. Pour over ham mixture.
  9. Reduce oven heat to 350º F and bake for 25-30 minutes or until an inserted knife comes out clean.
  10. Allow to stand for 10 minutes before cutting.
Enjoy!!!

Notes:
You can substitute 1 cup cooked sausage for ham.
