Spicy Chipotle Turkey Sandwich

 

I have made this sandwich two different ways and both ways are delicious. What really makes this sandwich so good and not just a normal old turkey sandwich is the chipotle sauce. It really make the sandwich extra good.


The sauce has just the right amount of spiciness to it, not too much so it burns your mouth, but just enough to make you start feeling the heat.

Spicy Chipotle Turkey Sandwich

Ingredients:

Creamy Chipotle Sauce

  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 chipotle in adobo sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon adobo sauce, from can
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 tablespoon lim juice

Sandwich

  • 8 slices bread
  • creamy chipotle sauce
  • 8 slices good quality turkey breast
  • 4 slices pepper jack cheese
  • 8 slices bread
  • creamy chipotle sauce
  • 8 slices good quality turkey breast
  • 4 slices pepper jack cheese
  • lettuce
  • tomato slices

Directions:

Creamy Chipotle Sauce

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mini food processor or a blender, process until smooth and creamy.

Grilled Sandwich

  1. Spread Creamy chipotle sauce on all slices of bread.
  2. On four slices of bread, place 2 slices of turkey and 1 slice of cheese. Place another slice of bread on top.
  3. Cook sandwiches on a griddle for 3-5 minutes per side or until bread reaches desired crisp.

Non-Grilled Sandwich

  1. Toast bread, if desired, and spread all slices with creamy chipotle sauce.
  2. On four slices of bread, place 2 slices of turkey, 1 slice of cheese, lettuce and tomato. Place other slice of bread on top.
