Baked Apple Oatmeal

Baked Apple Oatmeal : Savory Sweet and Satisfying

The flavor possibilities of oatmeal are almost endless and I think that is way I am enjoying it more and more. I do not think I have made the same oatmeal twice, there are just too many new flavors to try.


Baked Apple Oatmeal

Ingredients:

  • 2 2/3 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, diced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 medium apples, chopped

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to350º F.
  2. In a 2 quart casserole dish stir together the oats, cranberries, milk, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon and chopped apples.
  3. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed and oats are tender.
  4. Serve with additional milk if desired.
