Mickey Mouse Cake

Mickey Mouse Cake: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

This cake I made for my first daughters third birthday, because she was such a fan of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. This cake is all about the decorations, the cake itself is super easy.

Mickey Mouse Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 9 inch round cake
  • 2 6 inch round cakes
  • white frosting
  • colored gels or paste

Directions:

  1. Put the cake pieces together to create Mickey's face.
  2. Crumb coat the entire cake.
  3. Use a toothpick and draw the outline of mickeys face (his eyes, mouth, nose, etc.) and let set in refrigerator.
  4. Divide the remaining frosting into three bowls and tint one a face color, one black and one red.
  5. Use the colored frosting to decorate the cake.
Enjoy!!!

Notes:
I use a picture of Mickey I found on the internet as a guide for decorating.

If desired you could use a chocolate frosting for the black parts instead of dying frosting black.

You could also use finely crushed chocolate cookies on top of the white frosting for the black parts or even on top of the chocolate frosting.
