Sausage Brunch Soufflé

Sausage Brunch Soufflé: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

I have never made a soufflé or even tried one, so I am not sure exactly how this dish relates to a  traditional soufflé. What I can tell you is the texture of this dish is light and airy, unlike any other breakfast dish I have made. Definitely worth making.

Sausage Brunch Soufflé

Ingredients:

  • 16 ounce roll breakfast sausage
  • 6 slices pre-sliced white bread, cubed
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350º F. Spray a 11x7 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet brown the sausage and drain.
  3. Place bread cubes in baking dish.
  4. In a large mixing bowl whisk together the eggs, milk and mustard. Add in sausage and pour over bread cubes.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until lightly browned and mixture is set.
Enjoy!!!
