Bread Machine Breadsticks

These breadsticks are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. In my opinion just the way a breadstick should be.

The nutritional information on these breadsticks it is an estimate. I forgot to count how many breadsticks it made, so I made an educated guess.

Bread Machine Breadsticks

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Glaze

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon water

Topping

  • garlic Powder

Directions:

  1. Place the above ingredients in your bread machine in the order suggested by your bread machine. Turn on your bread machine and use the dough cycle.
  2. When dough cycle is complete, cut off egg sized pieces and roll into a rope. Place on a greased baking sheet. Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let rise for 20 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven for 400º F.
  4. When rise time is over mix the egg white and water together. Brush each breadstick with the glaze and sprinkle with garlic powder.
  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes. or until golden brown.
Enjoy!!!

Notes:
The shorter the baking time the softer the breadsticks. The longer the bake time the crunchier the breadsticks.
