These burgers are so yummy. You can really taste the sausage in it even though there is more ground turkey.
If you do not want to have a 1/4 pound of sausage left you can always add the full pound. Also you can add more pepperoni if you would like. The reason I used the amounts I did was to keep the sodium levels down so my husband could enjoy this delicious burger as well. Anyway you make this it will be delicious!!!
Pepperoni Pizza Burgers
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds ground turkey
- 3/4 pound Italian sausage
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 24 slices turkey pepperoni
- 1/2 teaspoon grated parmesan cheese
- 8 hamburger buns
- pizza sauce
Directions:
- Combine ground turkey, Italian sausage and Italian seasoning. Form into 8 patties. Cook your desired way.
- During the last few minutes of cook time top each patty with 1 slice of cheese and 3 slices of pepperoni.
- Toast buns if desired and then add pizza sauce and 1 teaspoon grated parmesan cheese to the top half of each bun.
- Place patties on bottom half of buns and top with top half of buns.
