Peanut Butter Ice Cream with Peanut Butter Swirl
Ingredients:
Peanut Butter Ice Cream
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups half and half, divided
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Peanut Butter Swirl
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Directions:
- Place a freezer safe container for storing the ice cream in the freezer.
- In a large bowl whisk together the peanut butter, 1 cup half and half, sugar and vanilla until smooth. Add in remaining half and half and heavy cream, whisking until well mixed.
- Pour mixture into ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's directions.
- Meanwhile make the peanut butter swirl by stirring together the peanut butter and heavy cream in a medium bowl. Set aside.
- Once ice cream is done churning remove container from freezer and transfer half of the ice cream into it.
- Place spoonfuls of the peanut butter swirl over the ice cream and top with remaining ice cream.
- Using a knife, held vertically, swirl it through the ice cream a few times. Cover the container and put into the freezer until frozen.
