Bacon and Tomato Pasta: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

This pasta dish has a nice and creamy sauce that coats the noodles well without too much extra sauce. The bacon and tomatoes add great flavor to the dish as well. As some people say, everything tastes better with bacon, right?

Bacon and Tomato Pasta: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

This dish makes a wonderful side dish for any meat and would serve 8 people or you could serve this as the main dish and then it would serve 4 people.

Bacon and Tomato Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 8 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, cut in half
  • 8 ounce tub light chive and onion cream cheese
  • 1 cup fat free milk
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 16 ounces penne pasta

Directions:

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. Cook chopped bacon in a skillet, over medium heat, for about 5 minutes or until crisp, stirring occasionally. Drain off excess fat.
  3. Stir in the tomatoes, then add the cream cheese, milk, and grated Parmesan cheese, mixing well.
  4. Cook until hot and bubbly stirring frequently.
  5. Add the hot pasta stirring to mix.
