Better Than Sex Chex Mix

Better Than Sex Chex Mix: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

Oh my goodness! This Chex mix is absolutely delicious! It is a sweet Chex mix loaded with chocolate, marshmallows, peanut butter cups and caramel.

Better Than Sex Chex Mix

Ingredients:

  • 14.25 ounce box chocolate Chex cereal
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup chopped mini peanut butter cups
  • 1 heaping cup mini marshmallows
  • 3/4 cup caramel bits
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat.
  2. In a large microwave safe bowl, add the whole box of cereal.
  3. In a separate microwave safe bowl, add the brown sugar, butter and corn syrup. Microwave for 1 minute and then stir until the mixture is smooth and completely mixed. Microwave an additional 30 seconds if needed.
  4. Stir in the baking soda.
  5. Pour the mixture over the cereal and gently stir to evenly coat the cereal.
  6. Microwave the cereal mixture for 2 minutes, stirring after every minute.
  7. Spread the cereal mixture out on the prepared baking sheet and allow to sit for 10 minutes.
  8. Break the mixture into pieces.
  9. Evenly sprinkle the peanut butter cups and marshmallows on top of the cereal.
  10. In a small microwavable bowl, add the caramel bits and cream. Microwave for 1 minute and stir until smooth.
  11. Drizzle the caramel evenly over top of the cereal.
  12. In a small microwaveable bowl, add the milk chocolate and microwave 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each 30 seconds until the chocolate is smooth.
  13. Drizzle the milk chocolate over top of the cereal mixture.
  14. In a small microwaveable bowl, add the white chocolate and microwave 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each 30 seconds until the chocolate is smooth.
  15. Drizzle the white chocolate over top of the cereal mixture.
  16. Allow the mixture to sit until the chocolate sets up and hardens.
  17. Break apart and serve.
  18. Store any leftovers in an airtight container.
